KAIST Information Technology Academy (ITA) aims to educate IT relevant cutting-edge technologies, one of the most fundamental skills that students studying science and technology should possess.
KAIST faces its 42nd year since its foundation and has long been known as the best science and technology university where top brains in Korea gather and study. KAIST has long been making its efforts to be one of the world’s top 10 universities and established a plan for “KAIST vision 2010” in June 2001. As a part of this plan, KAIST founded KAIST ITA as an exclusive education center of information technologies.
KAIST ITA has concluded industry-academy cooperation agreements with Samsung Multi-Campus, Cisco Network Systems, Microsoft, etc. to provide top quality education to people with or without IT degrees – students, researchers, and workers at public institutions like civil servants and soldiers in Daejeon and Chungcheong province. In order to foster manpower with outstanding information technologies, KAIST ITA will offer practice-focused specialized education throughout various levels – courses for beginners, intermediate, advanced, and CEO's. KAIST ITA has already concluded industry-academy cooperation agreements with Cisco Network Systems and Samsung Multi-Campus and .NET business cooperation agreement with Microsoft. KAIST ITA will do its best to foster prospective pillars who will contribute to the development of Korea’s information technologies by maintaining industry-academy cooperation with enterprises possessing world-class advanced technologies and strengthening the ties with the government, industry, and universities.
