| Summary |
| The KAIST Language Center was established in September 1995 with the aim of improving the language ability of KAIST undergraduate and graduate students, while promoting foreigners' understanding of Korea and Korean culture. Since its establishment, the Language Center has provided language education programs appropriate for the needs of KAIST students, researchers, and other community members and has suited its programs for a variety of abilities and aptitudes. Students and researchers can take advantage of language courses, special programs, English profreading services, and Korean-English translation services. In addition, to provide language education that prepares students for 21st century challenges, the Language Center offers continuous educational opportunities, including cyber classes and English immersion programs. Moreover, the Language Center allows self-test and placement test to check their foreign language ability on their own. Currently, by expanding
its exchanges with overseas language education organizations and developing its own Korean education program, the KAIST Language Center aims to be an international institute devoted to multi-lingual education. |
