The Department of Computer Science at KAIST was founded in 1971 and expanded to the School of
Computing in 2015: it is currently home to 49 faculty members as well as 443 undergraduate and 552 graduate students. It offers an exciting academic environment with world leading research activities. In addition to the undergraduate, major, master’s, and doctoral program, the school also encompasses the Graduate School of Information Security and the Graduate School of Web Science Technology.
Undergraduate students can also enrol in Software Intensified Program, funded by the Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning.
KAIST was founded in 1971 to establish a model of research focused university as well as to educate the elites in science and technology, then critically needed by the country.
